The bulletin shows mainly that:

- The total number of licensed vehicles at 31st December 2007 was 2,441,564. It exceeds the December 2006 level by 145,171 (6%) vehicles. The main components of the vehicle fleet include 1,882,901private cars, 345,874 goods vehicles, 69,278 agricultural tractors and 37,178 motor cycles.
- 246,446 new vehicles were licensed in 2007. This represents an increase of 12,719 (5.4%) on the 2006 figure 87,550 imported used vehicles were licensed in 2007, which represented an increase of 5,137 (6.2%), on the 2006igure.
- 66% of vehicles use petrol while 34% operate on diesel.
- 65% of private cars are 4 years old and over while 50% are 6 years old and over.
- 57% of goods vehicles are 4 years old and over while 40% are 6 years old and over.

| Licensed drivers totaled 2.54 million at 31st December 2007 - 83% held full licenses while the balance held provisional licenses. |
